Agent Ready is the component of PayPal Agentic Commerce that enables checkout and payment directly inside AI assistants.
It lets Braintree merchants accept payments from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini without building a separate integration per surface, adding PayPal's fraud detection, buyer protection and dispute resolution.
Enabling it requires merchant-side development — cart endpoints and payment via PayPal Orders v2 or Braintree — which is why it typically follows Store Sync rather than launching alongside it.
